Provides 11 inpatient centres in the UK, over 6000Marie Curie nurses to care for people in their own homes throughout the day or night, a Research Institute and an Education Service for health professionals involved in cancer and palliative care. Admission to the centres is via GP or Consultant referral through the appropriate Centre Director. Marie Curie Nurses providing practical nursing care at home are available in most Health Authorities. The service is free of charge to the patient and family.
