Childhood Bereavement
Childhood Bereavement 2 Day Course 9.30am – 3pm
For Primary / Secondary School Staff

This course is designed as an introduction to a number of the theoretical and practical issues relating to children's experiences of death between the ages of 5 and 18.

It is hoped the course will offer an understanding of how children grieve, the role of different agencies in supporting children and families, and what staff can do when faced with these experiences.

It will be presented by a number of Hospice staff members with a wide range of experience of working with children facing bereavement and it is anticipated that there will be opportunity for discussion by participants on individual concerns and issues.

(We suggest that due to the course content if you have had a recent bereavement it is not advisable for you to attend)

Please contact the Education Centre for forthcoming dates.
