World Cup Fundraising Idea

Footie-mad estate agents have pledged to give £50 to charity every time England score a goal in the World Cup.

The Boydens branch, in Crouch Street, Colchester, also wants other businesses and individuals to make the pledge to donate to Colchester’s St Helena Hospice, giving whatever they can afford for each goal.

David Boyden, managing partner of Boydens, which also has branches in Frinton, Braintree, Kelvedon, Sudbury and Ipswich said: “We’re getting behind the boys and hope they score a lot of goals so both the team and St Helena Hospice benefit.
Imagine if every England fan pledges even 10p a goal, what a difference it would make to the Hospice’s fundraising.”

England fans can pop into any Boydens branch to fill in a pledge form.

If your organisation would like to set up a similar system for their staff and/or customers to take part in please contact Heather Buxton, Community Fundraiser, St Helena Hospice on 01206 791740 for additional information.
