The conference centre based at St Helena Hospice is a self-contained, purpose built facility to meet the needs of all types of conferences and meetings.
Rooms are available for hire during the day or evening Monday to Friday and a dedicated conference and events team will always be on hand to help with your every need and to welcome and look after your delegates.
The conference centre benefits from its own separate entrance and parking area and is very accessible from the A12 and only a 10 minute taxi drive or bus ride from Colchester town centre and main train station.
The venue offers a range of rooms that have been designed with flexibility and comfort in mind. Most rooms have air conditioning and plenty of natural daylight creating the perfect environment for meetings and teaching. Rooms are available for hire separately or if required the full venue can be booked for exclusive use.
The Beeches Suite is the largest conference space, designed to accommodate 70 delegates in theatre style. The suite can be divided into two rooms if required and has views that overlook beautiful gardens.
Layouts of the rooms can be seen in the following capacity chart but additional layouts can be arranged and additional furniture or equipment sourced and hired to create the perfect meeting space for your requirements.

Our state of the art Chestnut seminar room offers delegates both video conferencing facilities and the use of an interactive white board.
Laptops, projectors, video conferencing and Interactive screen are also available for hire. TV, DVD, OHP and flip charts with paper and pens, as well as wall mounted track systems with paper hanging facilities are provided in all meeting rooms.
Food and beverages
We offer a wide range of hot and cold buffets and our catering team are happy to work with you to make sure the perfect menu selection is made. All food is home cooked, made on site and beautifully presented. Our conference manager will be happy to discuss any dietary requirements you or your delegates may have.
Tea, coffee, biscuits and tempting homemade cakes and scones are always available. A range of soft drinks and wine can be made available if requested in advance.
