Palliative care courses and training
The St Helena Hospice Education and Research Centre first opened in 1995 and has been developing ever since to meet the changing needs and challenges of palliative and end of life education. As a leading education provider, we aim to promote the highest quality palliative and end of life care for everyone through the development of knowledge, skills and attitudes.
We are pleased to offer a range of study days and palliative care courses to help your development.
We run Advanced Communication Skills training courses throughout the year. The course, which is facilitated by nationally accredited trainers, includes discussion of the research evidence surrounding communication in palliative care, interactive exercises and role-play in small groups with actors. Students will practice skills and receive positive and constructive feedback in a safe and supportive environment.
The experience of learning here involves more than just the course, it includes the warm welcome from the whole team; the hospitality and a chance to try our famous scones, as well as access to one of the largest palliative care research libraries in the country.
If you have any enquiries, our Education and Research team can be contacted Monday to Friday between 8.30am to 5.00pm on 01206 851560 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
