Travelling by car from South of Colchester
Proceed on the A12 towards Colchester, ignoring the first exit to Colchester A134 and continue to the Clacton/Harwich turn off. This is the first slip road after the Little Chef, marked Colchester/Harwich A1232. Keep in the left hand lane and again take the slip road off left to Colchester/Ardleigh. On reaching the roundabout, take the third exit, Colchester A1232. Proceed on the A1232 and on reaching the traffic lights go directly over. Continue to roundabout and take the third exit (Rovers Tye Public House). There are signs for St. Helena Hospice and Highwoods Shopping Centre. On reaching the next roundabout, take the first exit into Eastwood Drive, continue down and take the fifth turning on the left into Barncroft Close.
From North of Colchester
Take the A120 Clacton/Harwich and Colchester slip road off the A12. At the roundabout take the second exit to Colchester A1232. Proceed on the A1232 and on reaching the traffic lights go directly over. Continue to roundabout and take the third exit (Rovers Tye Public House). There are signs for St. Helena Hospice and Highwoods Shopping Centre. On reaching the next roundabout, take the first exit into Eastwood Drive, continue down and take the fifth turning on the left into Barncroft Close.

The Tendring Centre is situated in the centre of Clacton. It is located on the corner of West Avenue and Jackson Road.
When entering Clacton on the A133 you come to St John’s Roundabout with the Fire Station on your right. Follow the signs towards the Town Centre via London Road and then Wellesley Road until you reach a mini roundabout with the Trinity Methodist Church straight ahead. Turn left at the mini roundabout into Pier Avenue then take the right hand lane and bear right at the pedestrian lights into Jackson Road . The Tendring Centre is on the right hand side with an NCP car park opposite. There is a drop off zone at the front of the Centre for people who are attending the day care unit. Continue in the right hand lane into West Avenue for St Helena Hospice’s main car park.
