The Clacton Voices for Hospices event took place at the WestCliffTheatre on Saturday 10th October.
This was a truly memorable event under the direction of John Ellson, who not only directed, but also compeered and performed in this show for all tastes.
Brian Thomasson, Clacton Support Group, said:
“We would like to thank all who participated, whether as artistes’, members of the audience or purchasers of raffle tickets. We are also indebted to those who made donations and the businesses who generously gave raffle prizes. Also to the Trustees of the WestCliffTheatre for the use of their excellent facilities, both front of house and backstage.”
The total amount raised was an excellent £2,038, entirely for the benefit of St Helena Hospice.
Public support is essential for the day to day running costs, which are substantial, and a cheque for £3,000 was presented to Rosy Stamp, Hospice Director, representing monies raised by the Clacton Support Group from previous fundraising events.
