Posh Frocks on sale to raise charity pounds

20 May 2010

Posh frocks are on sale in Dovercourt as part of a new venture to raise money for a charity.

A new clothing shop has been created in Kingsway Hall for St Helena Hospice.

The room is the brainchild of shop manager Claire Cook, who said she spotted a gap in the market, which added to the furniture shop for the charity.

It is now open, with residents donating unwanted posh frocks and other clothing and accessories.

Nothing in the shop sells for more than £100 including the best wedding dresses, suits, hats, or shoes.

To donate items to the shops, which are open from 9.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Saturday, closing on Wednesdays from 1pm, call 01255 551645.
