The weekend of Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th June 2005 celebrated Brightlingsea Open Garden & Scarecrow Event.
With it being probably one of the largest Open Gardens events in the area there were over 28 private gardens open to visitors in a range of sizes and styles with many exciting ideas. There were some superbly designed and humorous ideas for the scarecrows. Over 60 were entered into the Scarecrow Competition!
The event was well attended with visitors from all over the east of England and as far a field as Switzerland.
The event has raised over £6,400 for the Hospice. The Brightlingsea Support Group did an excellent job and worked very hard. We would like to say a big thank you to the support Group and all involved for all the hard work that was put into this event. Well Done!!!!
