         <title><![CDATA[Night Vision Relay]]></title>
         <description><![CDATA[<p class="MsoNormal">St Helena Hospice will be holding their annual Night Vision Relay event on Saturday 18th September 2010 from 10am until 10pm which this year is kindly sponsored by Topnotch Health Club.&nbsp;   <br />
<br />
The event will again take place at the Weston Homes Community Stadium the home of Colchester United and registration is now open for teams to get their places confirmed at the event. <br />
<br />
Night Vision Relay is a 12 hour fun-filled team relay event and is designed for people of all ages and abilities. The aim of the relay is for participants to walk, run, jog or stroll around the course, keeping at least one team member on the track at all times. As it&rsquo;s a twelve hour challenge there is no limit on the number of people per team.&nbsp; <br />
<br />
Teams can be made up of friends, family members, colleagues or groups and associations&hellip;the more the merrier! This is a sponsored event but there is no minimum amount to raise &ndash; every penny counts and will help St Helena Hospice make a difference to someone&rsquo;s life.   <br />
<br />
On the day, participants will have the opportunity to acquire a floating lantern. Each lantern can be personalised with a message, a note, a drawing, or a poem to represent someone special. As darkness falls the lanterns will be released. <br />

The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) is due to release quality standards for End of Life Care in December 2010. This one day conference chaired by Dr Teresa Tate Deputy National Clinical Director for End of Life Care Consultant in Palliative Medicine Barts and The London NHS Trustand Medical Advisor Marie Curie Cancer Care, will focus onimproving the quality of End of Life Care including implementing the new GMC guidance, good practice in decision making and the New Nice Quality Standard.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<br />
